Welcome to Hump Day or better known as Wednesday! For many it’s the middle of the week. Others are just starting while others may be ending. Either way, here you are!
Recalling Memories:
The other day we were talking about how early restaurants and stores close around where we live. Even the mall and some closes at nine at night on a Saturday. Amazing!
Back east most malls close after 10pm on a Saturday. Some cities the malls are open to 11 or midnight. There are areas where the malls and other shops close at nine in the evening like here.
When we were kids if remembered way, restaurants closed late, like 10 or 11 at night and later on the weekends. Stores weren’t open on Sundays back then and it seemed everyone looked forward to shopping on a Saturday.
Things have changed and whether it’s good or bad for us as customers to all of these shops is up to us to decide.
Good or bad now, the memories are worth thinking about and comparing. Going to the movies on a Saturday afternoon back in the day would cost $2.00 for the matinee. Now it’s around the same price as if going in the evening.
We’re advancing as a society and that’s good right? Let us know your thoughts on advancement and the changes you have seen.
We would enjoy sharing them with our readers in the next couple of newsletters!
Ciao,
Mark & Patti
