What do you do on Sunday’s?
For me it’s reflection time. I review last weeks successes and failures and make adjustments as needed. Then I look at the coming week and wonder what we need to better than last week. See it’s all about reflection.
Last Sunday as many of you know Patti and I went out of town. We both needed stress relief, and the beach does it for us. A day at the beach is like a month away from here, home. There’s more to it though. It isn’t just stress relief. It’s a time to look at old and new things and make decisions.
Decisions about life, work, and making it all balance. To us that’s what life is all about. So when we post articles on here that are from all over the web it’s our way of getting you to look outside the norms (I’m tired of out of the box thinking). It’s a way for us to bring you lifestyle posts that may or may not fit your lifestyle at the moment, but maybe they will? Then again, maybe they never will, but it might just make you think?
Isn’t that what life is about. Thinking, reflecting, doing, and most of all living? How can you enjoy a lifestyle if you don’t live it? Even if you aren’t positive right now what lifestyle you want it’s great to try a few different ones, experiment with them, then decide and live it.
Changing lifestyles isn’t always easy, but you can make it fun. It’s about change and accepting that change. It’s about accepting that change is good and sometimes a break from the past. It can be as simple as changing the name of your company or product. Or maybe it’s a change in your routine? Sometimes changing up a routine in the middle of it can truly define a new direction. Ask a few weightlifters about changing routines, they’ tell you how it has improved their workout.
Changing your lifestyle doesn’t always work. Sometimes it makes little sense to change what you know, but there is always the what if? What if I changed, how would if help me? Is there a downside to changing your lifestyle? That’s what you have to consider before you DO IT! Sorry Nike, we couldn’t resist.
We’re not here telling you to change your lifestyle before considering everything that goes along with that change, but we are telling you to consider it. Consider a change. Maybe you’ve wanted to live at the beach all of your life, but do to finances you can’t. How could you make that happen and how would it make you feel?
Look at the alternatives out there and live with an open mind. That’s all we’re saying.
The posts we publish hopefully do that right now. Opening your mind to alternative lifestyles that you may want to try one day.
Don’t get us wrong lifestyles aren’t just about moving to another location. It can also be about food, travel, work, play and anything else you can think of. It can be as simple as spending one day a week at a playground and acting like a kid again. Simple changes equal lifestyle changes.
Go ahead give it a shot and let us know!
